This week @ The Place-Merry Christmas 

Please join us this Sabbath at The Place for worship and praise.  This week we continue our Christmas Holiday celebration with a homily by Pastor Simon titled "God's Words Are Forever."  We look forward to having Nathan Beddoe lead us in praise and worship; and to special music by Amanda Newton; Tamika Watkins; Giovanna Burgos, Camdyn Shea, and Mia Liversidge; Nathan, Jennifer Lew, and Ben Vete; and Sophia Peabody. 

 

 

Financial Support for the Mission of The Place-End of the year giving 

As we near the end of 2017 we know there are many opportunities for you to give. We invite you to support the ministry and the mission of The Place as we believe that we are fulfilling God's calling to us as a community of faith that is making a difference in our area and beyond.  Our monthly budget for our ministry is just over $20,000 and we encourage your faithful support. You may support the mission of The Place on-line at www,theplacechurch.com with no fees.

 

Community Outreach-THIS Sabbath

All are invited to our community outreach event this Sabbath afternoon, December 16h at 3:30 p.m. at Windsor Terrace Health Care Center (250 Fairview Road, Thousand Oaks)  Come and celebrate Christmas and share joy and song with elderly residents.

 

 

 

Christmas Vespers Next Friday

ALL are invited to our Christmas Vespers next Friday, December  22nd beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Our celebration will be held in the sanctuary at The Place.  Together we will enjoy an Agape meal, Christmas carols, worship, and communion. 

 

 

Circle of 100

Circle of 100 is a group supporting Newbury Park Adventist Academy with an annual donation of $1000, which collectively is used to fund significant projects to benefit the students. The projects are voted on by the donors and this past year included computer lab and WiFi infrastructure upgrades as well as contributing towards the school wide student iPad project. Please consider Circle of 100 as you make your year end contributions. Tax-deductible donations can be made at www.npaa.com, please specify that it is for Circle of 100. Collegiate/YA Luncheon & Planning this Sabbath

Calling all Collegiate and Young Adults to stick around after church this Sabbath as there will be a luncheon meeting in order to plan the next few months of events.

 

 

Hume Winter Camp for Youth & Jr. High

The Youth and Jr. High will have the opportunity to go to Hume Winter Camp this January.  Please contact Pastor Alex for more information and to reserve your spot.

Jan. 5-7: Youth weekend, cost is $220.

Jan. 26-28: Jr. High to Hume

 

 

Train for the L.A. Marathon with World Vision

Interested in running a marathon? Would you like to support a great cause and get in shape at the same time?  Then training with Team World Vision to run the L.A. Marathon is your answer!  Sign up this Sabbath to join the team and to make a difference in the lives of many.

December 10 - Christmas youth pajama party from 9am to 12pm @ Suite 16 at The Place. Enjoy breakfast and a white elephant gift exchange.  

 

January 5-7 - Hume Lake youth camp cost $220. sign up at church.  Also, please contact Jana Fritz 559-862-9183.

College & Career/Young Adults

 

December 16 - Meet up after church to help plan the activities for the next few months.
