Mission Trip Honduras 2010

This year The Place is going to build a school in the Valley of the Angels in Honduras. We also hope to be working on an orphanage project, but we need more people to volunteer. The trip is scheduled for August 1-12 of this year. This is a Maranatha project.  The cost as it stands now is approx. $1500, but we are hoping to fundraise the $17,000 construction cost as a church.  If we are indeed able to raise that money then it would cost down for each individual to approximately $1100.  We would appreciate your help as a church family to construct this school.  If you are interested, we have a signup sheet at the back table or contact Pastor Simon. We are now accepting the $100 deposit to confirm your place and reserve your airline ticket.

Mission Trip Fundraiser

Do you throw your aluminum cans and plastic bottles into your weekly trash? If you do, please STOP NOW!!!!! We want your trash! If you would put aside those items in a separate bag and bring your bag to Sabbath each and every week, we will gladly take it off your hands and turn it in for CASH to help fund the 2010 Mission Trip to Honduras. We need to raise over $10,000 to build a school and do repairs on an orphanage.  Let's make this a big success. If you have any questions please call Donna Goldman at 805-407-9535.

Volleyball Outdoors

One of our Place members, Chris Sinnett is planning on starting a Tuesday night Beach Volleyball group at Dos Vientos park.  The park has 2 great sand volleyball courts with lights and a huge park for all kinds of activities for the family.  We will start the volleyball nights on April 13th.  Chris will be there from 5:30 until 8:00PM. each week, (he also has lines to mark the courts and at least 2 beach volleyballs of his own) so all people have to do is show up and have fun! Call Chris at 818-584-5750 for more info.
